Discovery Requests, catalog, and AI credits
Discovery Requests
Billable: /search, /autocomplete, /recommend, knowledge retrieval, MCP tool calls, and equivalent UCP, ARD, and OKF queries. Cache hits count. Batch calls are billed per item.
Not billed: health checks, dashboard and account APIs, authentication, catalog writes, reindex jobs, and configuration changes.
Managed catalog
The record allowance is included managed knowledge storage — indexed records used for embeddings, retrieval, and graph features. It is a cost guardrail, not the primary meter.
AI credits
Query rewrite, semantic expansion, product enrichment, and knowledge extraction use AI credits. Developer and Growth are pay-as-you-go. Pro and Scale include a monthly grant, then overage at published credit rates. Unused credits do not roll over.
Overage and upgrades
Request overage sits above the next-tier upgrade so you are nudged into the right plan instead of a surprise bill. Automatic overage is capped at 50% of the monthly plan fee. We notify you at 80% and 100% of included requests, and if the spend cap is hit.

What counts as a Discovery Request?
A Discovery Request is one billable unit for work that uses the shared search and discovery layer. That includes /search, /autocomplete, /recommend, knowledge retrieval, MCP tool calls, and equivalent UCP, ARD, and OKF query surfaces. Cache hits count. Batch payloads are billed per item in the batch. Health checks, dashboard and account APIs, authentication, catalog writes, reindex jobs, and configuration changes are not billed as Discovery Requests.
Why are catalog limits listed if pricing is request-led?
Discovery Requests meter operating traffic. Indexed records meter managed knowledge storage, embeddings, graph footprints, and reprocessing cost. The included record allowance is the managed catalog you can keep live on the plan. Unusually large ingestion, reprocessing, or retained graph footprints are billed as an add-on or moved to Enterprise terms.
What happens if I exceed my included Discovery Requests?
Overage is billed per thousand requests at the plan rate shown above. That rate sits above the next-tier upgrade so it is usually cheaper to move up than to stay over. We email you at 80% and 100% of included requests. Automatic overage is capped at 50% of the monthly plan fee; after that, billable Discovery Requests pause until you upgrade, raise the cap, or the next billing cycle starts.
Is Agent Discovery included, or do I pay extra for MCP, UCP, ARD, or OKF?
Agent Discovery is included on every paid plan. It publishes your merchant domain and knowledge so agents can find products, content, and policies without replacing your website, cart, checkout, or payments. REST, MCP, UCP, ARD, and OKF are part of that surface. SuggestAPI does not charge for a protocol. Plans differ by request volume, catalog size, analytics, knowledge features, AI credits, and support.
How are AI operations billed?

Pro and Scale include a monthly credit grant sized to typical production rewrite and enrichment, then bill overage at the same published rates. Unused credits do not roll over. Exact grant sizes are shown in the dashboard because they track measured model cost.
Is there a contractual SLA on Scale?
Scale includes priority support. A contractual SLA, security review, custom terms, and dedicated support are reserved for Enterprise.
