Agent Content

Verify a storefront domain, link a search index, and publish agents.md and policies to the agent gateway.

Agent Content (/agent-content) is the console for the domain knowledge surface (OKS). Drafts stay private until you publish. Agents then read the live surface at https://agent.suggestapi.com/oks/{domain}.

A verified domain linked to an index is also what unlocks the public shopping feed at https://feed.suggestapi.com/{domain}/. See Google Shopping feed export.

Setup (once per tenant)

Shopify and BigCommerce installs that already verified ownership and linked a domain usually skip the manual steps.

1. Primary storefront domain

Enter the hostname only (shop.example.com), no scheme or path. SuggestAPI checks that the name resolves in DNS, then Save primary domain.

2. Verify domain ownership

Add the TXT record shown in the console (host/name, type TXT, value). Wait for DNS, then Verify TXT record. Use the listed alt host if your DNS provider requires it.

Choose the catalog index for this domain and Link index to domain. Create an index first if the list is empty.

That index becomes the primary-domain index. It is protected from deletion and shows the hostname as read-only on Configuration.

Edit and publish

After setup, the workspace has:

  • Store metadata — display name, description, checkout URL, guided checkout, MCP/UCP flags
  • agents.md — markdown instructions for agents on the OKS surface
  • Additional policy markdown files (shipping, returns, and similar)

Save draft keeps changes in the console only. Publish pushes the draft to the agent gateway and increments the published revision.

Status shows Unpublished draft changes or Draft matches live. View live OKS and agents.md open the public URLs.

Discard draft reverts the editor to the last published version. Restore an older revision from the revision list to publish that snapshot again.

If publish fails, the last error stays on the page. Publishing requires a configured agent gateway in the environment.

After you publish

  1. Open the live OKS URL from the console.
  2. Run the checks in Make content agent-discoverable.
  3. Add the origin ai-catalog link tag if agents should discover capabilities from your site.

Catalog products still come from the linked index. Keep that index imported and configured; Agent Content does not replace Import.
